It's been a while since I've updated my journal, so here goes... Our first year in Maryland has been quite an experience. It is so beautiful here, but the winters do seem harsh. The snow was pretty for the first few weeks, but after that it got old really quick. Also days on end with a high of 10 are absolutely horrendous. Unfortunately I found out that I have some sort of nerve disorder called Raynaud's that causes decreased circulation to my hands when exposed to cold. So, I'm not supposed to be outside for more than 15 minutes at a time or my fingers turn colors. Not only that, but if the air temperature inside the house is less than 75 d

A lot has changed since my last journal entry, among other things I quit my job to spend more time with my husband & we both have stopped consuming meat, dairy, & eggs.:moo::milk::cheese::sunnysideup: It was tough at first but now I am finding it increasingly easy & gratifying, I do plan to start eating eggs & dairy again when we get some chickens & goats. Once again my favorite holiday is upon us, Samhain!:pumpkin: This year I am going as one of my childhood heroes, Lara Croft. So, sad... I have been neglecting my art for so long now. One of my outside cats died a few days ago, I've been taking it pretty hard. she was such a sweet little cat, I miss her dearly. It's suprising how grief can act as art block drain-o. Hopefully I can stay motivated enough to create more in the days to come.
